My Review: This book was given to me by the author in her Facebook group for an honest review. A Summoner’s Tale by Victoria Danann is the third book in The Order of The Black Swan Series. These books are meant to be read in order so please read My Familiar Stranger (free on Amazon) and The Witches Dream - A love Letter of Paranormal Romance before reading this book. Ms. Danann has written this book as an ongoing saga and not each book as a stand-alone book. This may be confusing for some readers but I enjoy the continuity of the story from the beginning.
We see couples find their mates, get married and have children as the story progresses. New characters are woven into the book as the original characters retire from active duties preparing the reader for the next book in the series. This book has less action than the other two books but is in no way a boring read; we see strong character development between Baka and Heaven whose love story is woven through the book. I love the irony – Baka, a cured vampire, with a summoner name Heaven who can summon vampires at will. This is their story as much as it is the story of the original characters in the first two books. These different story lines are deftly tied together as all characters come together to conquer evil once again.
I definitely recommend this book as I also do the first two in the series. It’s a great book for anyone that enjoys witches, fae, vampires and hot knights of the Black Swan. I look forward for the next installment of the saga of The Black Swan.
