Review:
How to Ravish a Rake is the
third book in the ‘how to series’ and although I haven’t read the previous two
books How To Ravish a Rake was a wonderful stand-alone romance filled with humor, romance and fashion. This is the
first book by Vicky Dreiling that I’ve read and I really enjoyed her ability to build
the anticipation throughout the story. I loved Amy she was shy and overall a
loveable character and she made a great fit with Will Darcett. Although the
story concept was similar to many historical romances Dreiling’s writing style
and her characters really brought to life the story. I love historical romances
and it was a pleasure reading How to Ravish a Rake! Vicky Dreiling is one of those authors that you know really loves and knows about the genre she writes in. My only complaint is the pacing of the book was a little off, the beginning was a bit to slow for me, but I was glad to see that it quickly picked up. I look forward to reading the previous two books in the series and seeing how the previous relationships tie in.
I highly recommend this story for lovers of historical romances and for those that aren't this is a great place to start!
