Sealing souls is nothing personal. Dante’s an equal-opportunity collector and doesn't want it any other way. But he’ll have to adjust, because Boss Man has given him a new assignment:
Collect Charlie Cooper’s soul within ten days.
Dante doesn't know why Boss Man wants Charlie, nor does he care. This assignment means only one thing to him, and that’s a permanent ticket out of hell. But after Dante meets the quirky Nerd Alert chick he’s come to collect, he realizes this assignment will test his abilities as a collector…and uncover emotions deeply buried.
Review: I was on what one would call a reading dry spell. That is, until I read The Collector. I loved this book. It was fantastic! Victoria Scott has a great writing style and the character Dante, really comes to life in her writing. Dante is the epitome of a bad boy. But you just can't help but fall for him. He's witty and good looking and he really knows it. Yes, he totally is cocky, but it works for him. He really reminded me of the gorgeous Kaidan, from Wendy Higgin's Sweet Evil.
From the beginning of this book I was hooked.Scott does a fantastic job pulling you in and keeping you hooked. I don't read many books in the male POV, but this one was fun and a little addicting. I loved the romance within this book it was definitely different, but in the best way possible.
Overall, this story is the kind that I wish we had more of. I'm so glad I took a chance on The Collector and I highly reccomend this to readers, I think you'll love it.

P.S. I kept hearing this song in my head. Lol
Great Review! I really liked this book too and the POV of Dante. I love reading a book from the male POV because it is so different than the female.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely! You can't help but wonder how the guy would see the same situation when you're reading a book. This one was fun. :) I can't wait for the next one! <3
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this book, but it didn't blow me away like most everyone else that has read it. Dante's humor was kind of weird for me at times. And Charlie didn't snag me, either, unfortunately. I loved the plot, though, and thoroughly enjoyed figuring out the bad guys.
