Welcome everyone! Today we have a Q/A session with author S.C. Stephens of the fantastic series Thoughtless.
So here we go!

I love fantasy, supernatural, and contemporary romance. I love Terry Goodkind, Stephanie Meyer, and Richelle Mead. I adore Nicky Charles, K.A. Linde, Jamie McGuire, Colleen Hoover, and Tarryn Fisher. I’m unfortunately a very slow reader, so my to-read list is insanely long. There are so many good books that I’m dying to read!
What inspired you to write
Thoughtless?
Lots
of daydreaming and listening to music. I visualize songs when I listen to them,
and I kept seeing Kellan on stage during my favorite songs. I imagined him in
all sorts of different situations, and eventually threw him into a love
triangle with another character I’d fallen in love with, Denny.
Are there any characters
that you relate more to?
Probably
Kiera. She has a lot of my quirks and insecurities.
What character was the
hardest to write?
None
of them were difficult to write for. It really was like watching a movie
playing in my head. I never had to “figure out” what a character was going to
do or say. I just watched what they did and wrote it down.
What was your favorite
scene to write?
There
were so many! The espresso stand, the rain, the back room fight. I love writing
any scene that’s packed with emotion.
How long did it take you to
write Thoughtless?
I
finished it in about six months.
Is there any advice you’d
like to give fellow writers?
Just
keep plugging away at it. I love to write, and I try to fit in a little bit of
writing time every day. It’s easy to get distracted with other things, so
finding quiet time is crucial. And daydream. A lot.
What is your favorite thing
about being an author?
Writing!
Creating characters and worlds. Figuring out why people do things and how they
ended up where they are. And also watching readers fall in love with my
characters. It makes me giddy that people love Kellan as much as I do. There is
so much about being an author that I love. I’m honored that people like my
stories enough that I’m able to do this for a living now. It’s a dream come
true for me.Please be sure to check out Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens and look for our review coming soon: http://authorscstephens.com/thoughtless/
