Review: The Unraveling is one of the best stories that I’ve read this year by far! Janelle Tenner is an interesting and unique main character, she was extremely likeable. I really loved her personality and her raw emotions throughout the book. I thought it was great that Norris gave plenty of depth to her characters. Having Janelle’s mom and dad really added color to Janelle’s situation. I really enjoyed the throwbacks to TV shows like the X-Files. I’m a big fan of Roswell so I couldn’t help but love this story. In many ways The Unraveling is a lot like it, except better. Elizabeth Norris does a fantastic job telling her story and her writing style is detailed, but easy to follow. I thought it was great that Norris starts the book with some action: Janelle getting hit by a truck. She did a great job catching my attention and kept it throughout the book. I thought Alex’s character was a wonderful addition to the story because he’s such a fantastic best friend and Ben is the perfect love interest! So much so I couldn’t help but swoon over him. Overall, The Unraveling is nothing like I’ve ever read and I can honestly say I have a new found love for Sci-Fi. I can’t wait to read more from Elizabeth Norris!
