Synopsis:  Volume One of the Norothian Cycle. Muskets, Magic, and Matilda Lanai. Review: The Sable City by M. Edward McNally is a wonderful and well written Fantasy novel filled with action pack adventure. McNally's leading lady Matilda Lanai a.k.a “Tilda” is the perfect addition to the story. She adds some extra spice to McNally's wonderful cast of characters. If you're a lover of adventures, mythical creatures or wizards and dwarfs than you'll love The Sable City. McNally does a magnificent job at creating this fantastical world of Fantasy, he knows the inside and outs of it and utilizes it within his writing. I immediately felt drawn into the story and I loved his opening line describing Captain Block. I think it really says something when an author can pull you in with one line. I look forward to reading McNally's next book Death of a Kingdom (book 2 in the Norothian Cycle.) This book is definitely 5 STAR quality!
